Pubs and Eateries, for every taste!
Close by to Wolvesey View is the Bishop on the Bridge pub with a super terrace overlooking the lovely river Itchen, a perfect place to eat out in the sunshine, while a short walk down the waterside brings you to the eccentric Black Boy. The tremendous Wykeham Arms is near the cathedral while more ancient drinking holes are the Eclipse and the Royal Oak close to the High Street.
A huge variety of places to eat in the city centre mean you are spoilt for choice, with famous name restaurants and a range of eateries including Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, French, not to mention great English cuisine. Famous chefs who have opened establishments here include Raymond Blanc, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Rick Stein.
If you want to celebrate your time in Winchester John Holder is happy to recommend where to go whatever your taste.
